What believers are saying

  • $7 million funding supports manufacturing, testing, and salon partnerships.
  • Up to 5x faster braiding can raise salon throughput and incomes.
  • More than 7,000 salons on the waitlist signal strong early demand.

What critics are saying

  • Limited to box braids and knotless braids, restricting addressable salon use.
  • Reliability across hair textures and salon conditions remains unproven.
  • High pricing sensitivity persists if throughput gains fail to offset adoption friction.

What makes HaloBraid unique

  • Stylist-assisted device finishes braids while professionals keep creative control.
  • Targets box braids and knotless braids in textured-hair salons.
  • Patent-pending hardware aims for gentle, hands-free, consistent braiding.
