As part of our in-house creative team, you’ll answer briefs from across Wealthsimple’s entire product lineup to create smart, beautiful, effective marketing. Here’s how you’ll help:
- You’ll bring Wealthsimple’s brand to the world with written communications that resonate with our existing and prospective clients. Nobody wants to read marketing copy — they want to read stuff that interests and engages them. That’s the stuff you’d be writing.
- You’ll create work for multiple channels and platforms, with an understanding of the unique strengths and limitations of each.
- You’ll distill complex ideas so that people not only understand them, but get excited by them.
- You’ll work cross-functionally with multiple teams in a collaborative and fast-paced environment.
- You’ll play an active role in improving our team and company by providing regular feedback and participating in reviews.
What you’ll need:
- 2-5 years experience writing for consumer-facing brands in either an agency or in-house environment
- Relevant experience working cross-functionally with art directors, designers, product managers & marketers, project managers, and external partners
- Great organizational skills to keep your documents and projects in order (with the help of our amazing production team)
- The ability to switch from long-form to short-form copy in the blink of an eye
- A passion for simplifying complex ideas, and the ability to deliver great work on time, every time
- The initiative and confidence to bring fresh ideas to the table
- A fun and playful vibe
You’ll work on:
- Lifecycle marketing content, including emails, modals, and push notifications
- Campaign ideation and marketing messaging
- Social media concepts and execution
- Scripts for radio, TV, podcasts, chatbots, and more
- Stuff we haven’t even thought of yet
What to expect when you apply:

- Follow-up interview with hiring manager
- Writing evaluation (it’ll be fun, promise!)
- Final interview with hiring manager and Executive Creative Director
