Requirements
  • An understanding of laser processing and optics is required; additional internal development will be provided.
  • A willingness to learn, experiment, and test the boundaries of laser processing is required.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes including Electro-Discharge Machining (EDM), laser welding, laser drilling, laser micro-machining, and/or milling is required.
  • A Bachelor’s degree (B.S.) in Engineering or Physics, or relevant experience, is required.
  • The candidate must be a United States citizen or an existing Green Card holder due to customer facilities access requirements.
Responsibilities
  • Increase business revenue and technology using laser processing for Winbro’s machine tool systems and component manufacturing.
  • Develop internal laser application trials to support marketing, sales, and trade shows.
  • Develop customer-requested laser application trials and testing to support future business opportunities.
  • Collaborate with the sales team to monitor trends in the laser and optics industry and implement technologies supporting Winbro’s growth.
  • Assist in producing feasibility studies and business plans for new product development.
  • Identify and report shortcomings of product offerings to support future products.
  • Work primarily in Winbro’s laser application laboratory and technology center.
  • Provide customer support and internal service or continuous-improvement support when required.
