Requirements
  • Engineering Degree / Diploma (e.g. mechanical, electrical) and substantial practical experience in engineering
  • Knowledge of local regulatory and statutory requirements relating to industrial services and environment
  • In-depth knowledge of construction and utilities standards
  • Fluency in Italian and English is required
  • Experience in at least one Industrial Services engineering discipline (5+ years), preferably in food related manufacturing environment
  • For factories with large built-up distributed ammonia plants (Ice Cream, Frozen Food or Freeze Drying), ammonia experience is required
  • Experience operating or supervising others who operate heating pressure systems (gas boilers) or other large combustion systems (steam, hot water)
  • Experience in Piping Instrumentation Diagram (Piping and Instrumentation Diagram)
  • Experience in industrial plants: AHU, chillers, fire protection systems, water and steam generation, water treatment, BMS and electrical equipment
Responsibilities
  • Build Engineering capability: Ensures that personnel managing, operating and maintaining industrial services plant and infrastructure are competent to do so. Ensures that competency assessment and competency building plans are in place, routinely reviewed and executed for the Industrial Services team.
  • Define and adhere to standards: Plans, performs and manages design, modification and improvements to industrial services plant, equipment and infrastructure. Utilising own area of competency and specialisation or with competent 3rd parties.
  • Manage new-built assets: Supports operation of industrial services to ensure high efficiency, quality and compliance. Assists in the budgeting and cost monitoring of industrial services. Identifies and drives energy and water saving opportunities.
  • Manage new-built assets: Manages quality, environmental and internal and external compliance requirements for industrial services through management and monitoring processes and collaboration with the general contractor(s) and other trade contractors, suppliers, designers and consultants, and Nestlé Purina Central Engineering.
  • Manage new-built assets: Ensures process and personnel safety with regard to industrial services plant and equipment. From design coordination and execution to installation, commissioning and hand over to routine and periodic safety inspections and audits.
Desired Qualifications
  • Ammonia refrigeration plant experience is desirable
  • Experience operating or supervising others who operate heating pressure systems (gas boilers) or other large combustion systems (steam, hot water) is desirable
  • Experience in Building Management System (BMS) and electrical equipment is desirable

Nestle expands its Volyn factory with new investment and export plans. by Roman Cheplyk Friday, July 24, 2026 The company has already invested 230 million hryvnias and plans another 600 million by the end of 2026 New production capacity in Volyn. Nestle has invested 230 million hryvnias this year in expanding the production capacity of its pasta factory in Smolyhiv, Volyn region. By the end of 2026, the company plans to invest another 600 million hryvnias in the site, according to Roman Yanovych, CEO of Nestle in Ukraine and Moldova. The next stage of development includes the installation of a second and third production line. The expansion should create 250 new jobs, while the factory already employs about 380 people. For the region, this turns the facility into a larger food-industry employer and strengthens Ukraine's manufacturing base during wartime. Export potential and the Mivina brand. By the end of 2027, Nestle expects total investment in the enterprise to reach about 70 million euros. The factory in Smolyhiv already exports to 19 countries, and the company is considering entry into the US market with Mivina instant noodles. Yanovych said there is demand for more production and that the product can meet not only European but also American market expectations. This is important for Ukraine because processed food exports carry more added value than raw commodity sales and help keep jobs inside the country. Why the investment matters. In the first half of 2026, Nestle invested 5 billion hryvnias in Ukraine across production, marketing, consumer communication and new product categories. The Volyn expansion shows that large international companies still see practical production logic in Ukraine despite logistics, security and energy risks. For investors, the case is a useful signal: when a factory has an export base, a recognizable product category and room for automation, Ukraine can remain competitive in food processing. The facility, which manufacturers hollow chocolate figures for Smarties, KitKat and Milky Bar, exports to more than 20 countries worldwide. However, it's said to have suffered a significant drop in demand in recent years and, as a result, now contributes towards less than 3% of Nestlé's Hungary revenue and 0.4% of its production volume. The decision, says Nestlé, is driven by a "decline in demand for seasonal confectionery products," raising questions over consumer appetite for seasonal confectionery. The Swiss multinational has "initiated negotiations on the sale and future operation of the factory," stating that it wants to transfer the plant to "an investor who wishes to continue confectionery production". It has not said how many employees would be impacted by the move, but has emphasised the aim is to transfer "as many colleagues to the new owner as possible". Operations will cease in December 2026, with further details will be disclosed at a "later date". The move comes as food and beverage manufacturers across Europe review manufacturing footprints in response to changing consumer demand, rising operating costs and ongoing pressure on margins.
