Responsibilities
- Working cross-functionally on various public policy, advocacy, and communications initiatives for Redwood
- Implement Redwood's engagement strategy in the region
- Interfacing with state and local elected officials, building/hosting community events in support of Redwood's overall business objectives
- Partnering with local businesses, groups/nonprofits, schools, and volunteer networks to drive awareness and support for Redwood's mission
- Engaging with local elected leaders and participating in trade associations, and advocacy groups
- Organize engagement between Redwood team members, community stakeholders and the public to promote Redwood's public policy policies and overall benefits to public sector customers, partners and the community
- Cultivating relationships across these various efforts to serve Redwood's mission and company growth in the region
Desired Qualifications
- Minimum 7+ years of experience in roles working on policy issues with local, state or public interest groups
- Experience working in startups, political campaigns, or fast-paced environments
- Ability to exercise good judgement in rapidly evolving, high-stakes environment
- Solid relationship management skills enhancing internal organizational relations and external community interactions
- Experience with energy, electric vehicles, or supply chain policy issues is a plus
- Highly collaborative with the ability to decipher and advance multiple organizational objectives at once
- Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills; delivering your thoughts and ideas in a clear and concise manner
