About the Job:
We’re looking for a seasoned Design Operations Lead to help scale our digital product design practice and implement key processes and standards to increase team efficiency and enhance collaboration cross functionally. The Design Operations Lead is responsible for driving the planning and execution of key projects and shows impact across the Taco Bell business through strong relationships and operational excellence. Some projects include: helping with implementation and maintenance of a design system, planning team culture events, budget planning and resource allocation, enhancing team operations, etc. This role reports to the Director of Digital Product Design.
The Day-to-Day:
- Lead efforts to integrate design standards, approaches, tools and other enablers into one coherent design capability and be a change agent making impact through Design Operations
- Ability to articulate in the selection and procurement and/or creation of tools that support all facets of the design process
- Establish, oversee and document centralized digital product design processes to increase efficiency and communication across the team
- Guide the creation, implementation and scaling of a design system across a complex product ecosystem, working to facilitate the use of best practices, tools and technology that will support a robust and comprehensive design system
- Audit and improve flows of communication from working teams up to design leadership, and outward to cross-functional partners, the executive team, and the company
- Ensure interdependencies between design, research, product management, and engineering are well understood and documented and work to enhance collaboration and communication cross functionally
- Work to enhance communication across the team and help create a strong design culture at the company
Is This You?
Bachelor’sdegree in business administration or related field or equivalent years of experience and/or6+ years of relevant experience in a design operations or program management role within a creative or digital organization or related job
- 4+ years’ experience in project management, program management, strategic planning, roadmap development, process optimization, editing etc.
- Experience standing up and maintaining a design system with specific understanding of the integration between design and technical components
- Detail-oriented, resourceful, extremely organized, and able to manage shifting priorities
- Ability to identify areas for improvement within a rapidly growing design org and first-hand experience to provide solutions to improve in these areas
- Track record of educating and championing the value of design at all levels of the organization
- Experience with Microsoft Office, Asana, Jira, Confluence, react, etc.

Salary Range: $102,000 - $150,000 annually + bonus eligibility + equity (if applicable) + benefits
