Requirements
  • Masters in oncology, immunology, biotechnology or related field with 2+ years of relevant industry or academic experience or Bachelors degree with 4+ years relevant experience
  • Cell culture experience with mammalian cell lines with additional weight given for CAR-T cells
  • Animal health experience in identifying clinical observations and providing treatments
  • Extensive experience in establishing mouse tumor models in immune competent and compromised animals
  • Proficiency in drug administration (SQ, IP, IV, and PO)
  • Proficiency in various blood collection routes (Sub-M and others)
  • Proficiency in rodent full body necropsy
  • Software experience in Excel, Google suite, Prism, Powerpoint, electronic lab notebooks, and in vivo data management platforms
  • Ability to follow instructions and work independently
  • Ability to effectively manage time and prioritize tasks to ensure all assignments are completed on or before deadlines
  • Must have excellent troubleshooting, organization, and planning skills, and the ability to work under timeline in a fast-paced environment
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
Responsibilities
  • Support the Vivarium Operations and In Vivo Translation teams by conducting animal model studies in oncology to evaluate the activity of programmable cell therapy.
  • Adhere to IACUC guidelines to ensure ethical treatment and welfare of laboratory animals.
  • Maintain and expand cancer and therapeutic cell lines.
  • Execute hands-on responsibilities including, but not limited to animal handling and restraint, administration via various routes, in-life measurements, clinical observations, sample collection and processing, and accurate data collection.
  • Introduce and quantify tumor burden by volumetric measurement bioluminescent imaging.
  • Harvest and analyze in vivo samples by flow cytometry and other in vitro assays.
  • Document, organize, maintain, review, and report experimental records for research and regulatory requirements.
