- One year or more of experience as an LVN required
- Current licensure as a Licensed Vocational Nurse in Texas
- Basic Life Support from a hospital-based American Heart Association approved program
- Other certificates as required by unit/service
- Experience in specialty area preferred
- Above Average Verbal (Heavy Public Contact) communication skills
- Proficiency in PC usage
- The Licensed Vocational Nurse provides patient care and education in ambulatory clinics under the supervision of RNs, Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, Physician Assistants, physicians, dentists, or podiatrists.
- The LVN applies the nursing process to ensure physical, social, psychological, and spiritual needs are met.
- Responsibilities include assisting with predictable healthcare needs, providing individualized goal-directed care, and coordinating care between the healthcare team to optimize patient understanding and outcomes.
- Experience in specialty area preferred
