Requirements
  • Minimum 5 years of QA experience (will accept 3 years if experience lies within the EV Charging industry)
  • Interested in EV ecosystem, wireless mesh networks, and power management
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, testing methodologies, and quality assurance processes
  • Knowledge of Confluence, Jira, Github, CLI, AWS (Dynamo, Cloudwatch, etc)
  • Excellent time management and can focus in the face of distraction
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Growth mindset and positive outlook in challenging circumstances
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with software and hardware development teams to understand project requirements, specifications, and design documents
  • Develop comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies for embedded systems, covering both software and hardware components
  • Execute gray-box testing, and identify defects or performance issues
  • Ensure 100% coverage by creating detailed test cases as new products/features are introduced, requirements are formed, and gaps are exposed
  • Participate in design reviews and provide valuable input from a quality assurance perspective
  • Perform regression testing to ensure that new features or changes do not adversely affect existing functionality
  • Investigate and reproduce customer-reported issues, work with developers to troubleshoot problems, and drive issues to resolution
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives by identifying areas for process enhancement and efficiency gains
  • Mentor and guide junior quality engineers, providing technical leadership and promoting best practices
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and advancements in quality assurance and embedded systems
Desired Qualifications
  • Fluency in Mandarin
  • Experience with XRay (or similar test case management tool)
  • Cucumber/Gherkin [not required but willingness to learn]
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations (e.g. ISO 26262, IEC 61508)
