Requirements
  • The candidate must be at least twenty-one years old.
  • The candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • The candidate must have at least three months of human services or related work experience.
  • The candidate must hold a program administrator certification or be able to obtain certification within six months.
  • The candidate must have effective communication and proficient computer skills.
  • The candidate must have a valid driver's license and daily access to a privately maintained and insured vehicle.
  • The candidate must successfully complete the pre-employment process, including clearances and verifications.
Responsibilities
  • Provide individualized, person-directed support to individuals with mental illness living in a residential-based setting.
  • Serve as a role model and mentor for staff.
  • Assist in monitoring aspects of program operations.
  • Support individuals in participating in activities, exercising choices, acquiring competencies needed to maintain relationships, and accomplishing personal goals.
  • Encourage individuals to become more independent and take a leading role in their personal rehabilitation process.
