Requirements
  • A valid Texas Medical Gas License is required.
  • A current Texas Journeyman Plumbing License is required.
  • At least 3 years of commercial plumbing experience is required.
  • Experience installing medical gas systems in healthcare or commercial construction environments is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints and specifications is required.
  • Strong understanding of plumbing codes and industry standards is required.
  • Experience soldering and brazing copper tubing is required.
  • OSHA-10 Certification is required, or the candidate must be willing to obtain it.
Responsibilities
  • Install, modify, and repair commercial plumbing systems, fixtures, fittings, and equipment.
  • Install and service sewage, water, gas, oil, compressed air, vacuum, acid waste, and related piping systems.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and construction documents to lay out plumbing and medical gas systems accurately.
  • Perform underground rough-in, above-ground top-out, and final trim installations.
  • Install DWV (Drain, Waste & Vent), domestic hot and cold water systems, and acid waste piping.
  • Install and test medical gas systems, including oxygen, medical air, vacuum systems, and nitrogen.
  • Install natural gas piping systems in accordance with applicable codes and project requirements.
  • Set and install commercial plumbing fixtures in hospitals, medical facilities, and commercial buildings.
  • Solder and braze copper tubing, thread steel pipe, and utilize ProPress systems when applicable.
  • Conduct pressure testing, leak detection, and system verification to ensure proper operation and code compliance.
  • Cut, drill, and modify structural openings to accommodate plumbing installations.
  • Install underground storm, sanitary, and water piping systems.
  • Maintain a safe work environment and comply with company and OSHA safety standards.
  • Collaborate with project teams to meet production schedules and quality expectations.
