Requirements
  • Currently pursuing an undergraduate, master's, or PhD program in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, or a related quantitative field.
  • Demonstrated strong programming ability in Python.
  • Strong fundamentals in statistics and/or machine learning.
  • Evidence of building projects and pursuing in-depth work through research, open source, competitive programming, Kaggle, olympiads, or substantial personal projects.
  • Must have United States work authorization or be able to use Optional Practical Training during the internship.
Responsibilities
  • Ingest market or reference data with point-in-time correctness, avoiding lookahead and ensuring as-of-date correctness.
  • Build and validate a candidate factor or risk model with emphasis on robustness and out-of-sample validity.
  • Contribute to the research-to-production path by building tooling that promotes signals to production through configuration rather than a rewrite.
  • Build a component of the backtesting or simulation engine, feature or signal store, or portfolio optimizer.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with C++, Rust, or another programming language.
  • Exposure to markets or investing, data engineering, orchestration tools such as Dagster or Prefect, or cloud platforms such as Azure.
