Job Summary:
ERII is seeking a qualified candidate for an immediate full-time job opening for the position of Project Manager. This position will be part of the Project Management Office (PMO) and will report to the Sr. Director, Organizational Transformation and Support. This position is responsible for partnering with the management team to coordinate and support collaborative projects. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for assisting in the planning and execution of projects from initiation through completion, including timelines, contracts, budgets and milestone tracking.
The Project Manager assists in coordination of cross-functional activities, ensuring completion of the project while adhering to budget, scope and schedule requirements, also serving as an in-house project consultant for evaluating project and resource needs. The Project Manager may build tools and help define processes for internal project use to support project needs, as well as to support external project collaborations.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
- Project manage various Operations, Corporate or IT related projects including ownership of project scope, schedules, budget and deliverables
- Predict resources needed to reach objectives and manage resources in an effective and efficient manner
- Manage contracts with vendors and team members by assigning tasks and communicating expected deliverables
- Interact, integrate, and drive results across cross functional teams in finance, accounting, manufacturing, supply chain, quality, production, sales, service, etc.
- Provide regular program updates to leadership and other key stakeholders
- Proactively identify and manage risks and issues
- Ensure that projects operate within the confines of the company’s goals, vision, and core values
- Lead cross-functional teams in conducting postmortem reviews following project completion to gather and communicate key learnings for continuous improvement
- Learn and manage all project management tools, using all requisite documents in conjunction with industry best practices
- Ensure that all defined project processes are followed and be a leader in adopting project tools and processes
- Lead/execute improvement projects for program management tools and processes
- All other projects and duties as assigned
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or business, PMP certification preferred
- 5-8 years of work experience
- Relevant experience in project management demonstrating increasing responsibilities
- Background in at least one business functional area (ie. Accounting, operations, manufacturing, supply chain or IT)
- The ability to effectively partner with cross-functional stakeholders and drive alignment
- Team player with experience working in a fast-paced, high intensity environment
- Open minded self-starter with the ability to adapt, improvise and problem solve
- A data-driven mindset with a strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify and focus
- Experience with Smartsheets or other project management tools
