STAFF ACCOUNTANT – Chicago IL
We are currently seeking an Accounting Associate to join our Corporate Finance team in Chicago, IL. This is an exciting opportunity for anyone interested in a career in accounting and to join an organization that will provide opportunities for growth.

Responsibilities:
- Examine and validate documentation in accordance with compliance standards, ensuring precise records for all Revenue and Accounts Receivable adjustments in the system
- Ensure timely and accurate completion of balance sheet reconciliations
- Coordinate with ops team by sharing contract asset and deferred revenue files, and gather appropriate explanations for any revenue adjustments
- Monitor and meet accounts receivable objectives and metrics, with a focus on overseeing maintenance and investigation of AR exceeding 30 days past due
- Conduct thorough research on cash receipts and address related inquiries
- Support the broker commission process by promptly applying cash, recording splits adjustments, and implementing other changes to maintain commission payout accuracy
- Generate and provide AdHoc reports as required
- Crosstrain on the broker commission process to serve as backup support
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or related field a plus
- 1+ years of experience in a professional company environment preferred, but new graduates will be considered
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word and PowerPoint)—most notably Excel
- Experience working with PeopleSoft a plus
- Strong time management skills and ability to work both independently and with a team environment.
- Excellent written and oral communication and client service skills
- Excel at multi-tasking and task prioritization
- Must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Candidate must be a self-starter with the ability to perform in a fast paced and customer service oriented environment
- Strong attention to detail is required

Estimated total compensation for this position:
65,000.00 – 70,000.00 USD per year
The total compensation range is an estimate and not guaranteed. An employment offer is based on an applicant's education, experience, skills, abilities, geographic location, internal equity and alignment with market data .
