Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in business, finance, or information technology is preferred, or commensurate experience; if no degree, at least three years of professional business and/or information technology experience is required.
  • At least seven years of business analysis experience in information technology or a business environment is required.
  • Experience working with technology and implementations for an enterprise information technology application platform such as Salesforce is required.
  • Demonstrated experience writing well-formed, cohesive, complete, consistent, feasible, modifiable, unambiguous, and testable requirements documents.
  • Demonstrated experience with requirements analysis and management tools.
  • Demonstrated experience setting goals and successfully implementing and achieving goals.
  • Demonstrated experience creating and working in a team culture committed to collaborative cross-functional relationships and service excellence.
  • Ability to conduct stakeholder analysis, select a project approach, and estimate business analysis effort.
  • Understanding of the distinction between business, stakeholder, solution, functional, non-functional, and transition requirements.
  • Ability to lead requirements-gathering, definition, focus-group, and process-diagramming workshops involving business stakeholders and delivery teams.
  • Ability to construct business process models.
  • Ability to understand and use decision analysis techniques.
  • Ability to manage requirements in Waterfall, Agile, and/or Iterative software development methodologies.
  • Ability to solve problems by defining basic steps and providing examples where techniques were used.
  • Ability to understand technology concepts such as databases, table-driven code, testing tools, security, and computer programming concepts.
  • Ability to research software and hardware products to meet agreed requirements and support purchasing efforts.
  • Ability to interpret requirements into feasible options while considering technical and business constraints, and communicate options to stakeholders.
  • Ability to present solution options and recommendations effectively to stakeholders.
  • Ability to construct specifications, models, diagrams, and charts to communicate needs to solution designers, developers, and testers.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and monitor business analysis activities and choose an appropriate business analysis approach for Salesforce changes.
  • Perform stakeholder analysis to determine potential types and areas of impact associated with a change.
  • Build a strong relationship with the project manager to establish a common understanding of the goals, objectives, and scope of a change initiative.
  • Elicit Salesforce business requirements using a variety of techniques, confirm and communicate stakeholder needs, and cultivate relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Manage and communicate Salesforce business requirements by translating business concerns, questions, and desires into stakeholder requirements using use cases, process diagrams, functional requirements, and other documentation.
  • Define relationships among requirement types; trace requirements to business objectives, test cases, and solutions; assess value, urgency, and risk; evaluate changing requirements for project impact; and obtain stakeholder approval and agreement.
  • Act as a liaison between stakeholders and project teams to ensure requirements are understood and result in effective solutions.
  • Analyze Salesforce needs and recommend a solution or range of solutions, quantify potential value, and tailor requirements for each stakeholder group.
  • Coordinate and facilitate meetings with representatives from all organizational levels, vendors, and regulatory agencies to support planning, validation and acceptance, and final deployment.
  • Provide support, mentoring, and guidance to project teams and incumbents.
  • Perform other assigned duties and comply with applicable policies and standards.
  • Work in an office setting, remain stationary for extended periods, and use a desk, computer, and standard office equipment or participate in meetings.
  • Verbally communicate and exchange accurate information with customers and associates regularly.
  • Read and interpret correspondence, procedures, reports, and forms in paper and electronic formats and perform visual inspections as required.
  • Prepare written correspondence, reports, and forms using prescribed formats and applicable language and style rules.
  • Apply logical thinking to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
  • Perform substantial continuous wrist, hand, and finger movement for computer work.
  • Work extended hours during peak workloads or special projects and events.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience with the Salesforce Platform and its products.
  • Experience with Microsoft SharePoint and Microsoft Access.
  • Knowledge and experience of insurance industry systems, insurance and annuity products, or the product development process.
  • A PMI Professional in Business Analysis, IIBA Certified Business Analysis Professional, or IIBA Certification of Competency in Business Analysis designation.
  • An insurance-related certification such as FLMI, CLU, or a related industry designation.
