Requirements
  • Possesses an earned masters degree or higher from a regionally accredited institution in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the course and/or specialty being taught, or Possesses a related or out-of-field masters degree, from a regionally accredited institution, with documented 18 semester hours or equivalent of courses in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the course and/or specialty being taught beyond the introductory principle(s) level; or Possesses a bachelor's degree in business administration, public administration, management, marketing, or a business-administration-related field as appropriate to the course and/or specialty being taught, from a regionally accredited institution, with documentation in two or more areas of: i) Professional certification (national, regional or state) in the field ii) Two years of in-field professional employment iii) Documented evidence of teaching excellence, including date of award iv) Documentation of research and publication in the field v) Documented relevant additional coursework beyond the bachelor's degree, equivalent to 18 semester hours or equivalent subject matter coursework, SEU"s, vendor, or military.
  • Possesses strong working knowledge of current technologies appropriate to area of instruction, and faculty credentials as outlined in the ASOM 7.1 as applicable to the specific area of instruction.
Responsibilities
  • Create a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals and provide effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided by the School.
  • Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned classes and provide syllabus appropriate to course(s) being taught to students and follow syllabus content and requirements.
  • Maintain student attendance and grading records according to College policy as outlined in the Adjunct Handbook.
  • Submit requested information within established timelines.
  • Be available to students outside scheduled class time to answer questions/provide assistance and deal with student concerns, consulting with program coordinator if necessary.
  • Meet all scheduled classes of contracted course(s) and teach weekly on-campus courses in Lafayette or Crawfordsville Indiana (day, evening and/or Saturday classes) and be able to teach traditional classroom instruction.
  • Use technology such as IvyLearn (Canvas), Outlook, Microsoft Office Suite, etc. as appropriate.
  • In event of emergency absence, notify program/department chair.
