  • Active or the ability to obtain a SECRET security clearance after hiring (requires US Citizenship)
  • Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering
  • At least 7 years of experience to include development and/or refinement of flight dynamics models; work with flight test data to include flight test support and flight data analysis, and/or familiarity with aircraft performance, aerodynamic design, non-linear system identification, and flight control system design and analysis.
  • Excellent documentation and report writing skills are essential for this position.
  • Knowledge of sound engineering practices that may include such areas as requirement tracking, configuration control, technical communication, and/or the peer review process.
Responsibilities
  • Be the engineering lead in support of flight control system development; aircraft modeling and simulation; analysis of aircraft flight dynamics; and ground and flight test support.
  • Design, development, integration, and test of aircraft flight control systems and autopilots
  • Develop, integrate, and validate models of aircraft flight dynamics and subsystems such as payloads, engines, transmissions, flight control components, and sensors
  • Support lab, ground, and flight qualification testing of aircraft avionics, sensors, and flight control systems
  • Mentor more junior engineers.
