About the Role
This role acts as a conduit between Operations and Engineering, helping to implement Engineering requests and needs with Operations. You will ensure the operations fleet is operating successfully everyday, and is configured correctly with minimal downtime and effort. You will report into Operations, working very closely with the engineering in our DoorDash Labs organization. This role will be 100% in-office and on-field.
You’re excited about this opportunity because you will…
- Act as primary contact for all issues encountered during field testing by Ops team
- Perform initial debugging, troubleshooting and reporting of all issues that impact Robot Operations - pre-deployment, intra-day, post-deployment, and next day prep
- Report anomalies, bugs and faults with all pertinent information to facilitate timely and accurate Engineering investigation and resolution
- Ensure correct software versions and configurations are deployed on robots and other connected systems
We’re excited about you because…
- Have experience debugging autonomous systems with Linux, using with the command line and bash scripting
- Are familiar with system networking, github, writing bugs and technical documentation
- Have experience working with hardware, configuring and debugging sensors on an IP network
- Experience capturing stack traces and system errors from log files
- You are genuinely curious about how things work (or why they don’t)
- Solving problems is something that excites you
- Have a strong interest in robotics

Compensation
The location-specific base salary range for this position is listed below. Compensation in other geographies may vary.
Actual compensation within the pay range will be decided based on factors including, but not limited to, skills, prior relevant experience, and specific work location. For roles that are available to be filled remotely, base salary is localized according to employee work location. Please discuss your intended work location with your recruiter for more information.

California Pay Range:
$72,000—$121,000 USD
