Requirements
  • A minimum of 10 years of experience as a Portfolio Manager at an asset management firm with a strong fundamental research background.
  • A demonstrated record of generating and marketing attractive equity portfolio returns for clients.
  • Proven success across multiple sectors with respect to fundamental research analysis, independent decision making, and analyst leadership.
  • Excellent written and oral marketing and communication skills.
  • A self-starter with an entrepreneurial mindset who can retain and generate new business.
  • The ability to work in a collegial, team-oriented environment focused on growing assets under management by working with clients to meet their investment objectives.
  • A detailed understanding of capital markets.
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented.
Responsibilities
  • Create and manage investment portfolios for clients.
  • Craft investment packages, manage client expectations and transactions, and achieve clients' overall investment objectives.
  • Provide portfolio recommendations to clients based on in-depth financial market analyses.
  • Manage assets for ultra-high-net-worth investors, family offices, endowments, and other institutions.
  • Invest across a broad range of asset classes, manage risk exposures, and actively trade portfolios.
  • Manage cash balances, structuring needs, and clients' tax filings and payments.
  • Create a succession plan to provide longevity to current senior portfolio managers' clients.
  • Enhance and provide additional depth to existing client relationships.
  • Develop trusting relationships with the next generation of Silvercrest clients.
  • Prospect for new business to build a book of private and institutional clients utilizing a global network.
  • Aid in centralizing the Portfolio Management team.
  • Organize all investment team updates for the portfolio management team.
  • Conceptualize and implement a formal process for constructive collaboration between portfolio management teams.
  • Centrally prioritize and resolve team-wide issues.
  • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of Silvercrest's investment strategies and model mechanics by making complete and thorough recommendations for existing client portfolios, proactively based on ongoing monitoring and reactively when needed.
