About the Team
The Product Partnerships team is part of the Product organization and responsible for building and managing our technology and Data Provider ecosystem. The work we do seamlessly extends our product capabilities through partner integrations so our customers can focus on outcomes versus knitting systems together. As such, we are considered an extension of the product team.
The team comprises Business Development personnel responsible for initiating, incubating and managing partnerships, and Partner Solution Architects responsible for helping partners with technical integrations. Our roles require significant interaction with the field and our customers, as well with Databricks product leaders to help shape our product roadmap. We are also considered thought leaders within the company on the broader ecosystem.
As a Unified Analytics Platform, a thriving partner ecosystem is foundational to Databricks’ growth strategy. Additionally, with the launch of Delta Sharing, Data Provider partnerships have become a high priority for company leadership to establish it as an accepted standard.
Mission
To sustain their competitive advantage, our customers consume ever increasing amounts of one thing - data. This data can come from internal hardware and software systems or, as is increasingly the situation, from Data Providers.
These data providers are often also customers of Databricks, relying on our Unified Analytics Platform to clean raw data for consumption by their customers. This arrangement gives us a unique placement within the industry, and presents several new opportunities. That’s where you, the business development leader for Data Provider Partnerships, come in.
