Requirements
  • Must meet the requirements of 14 CFR 119.67
  • In the case of becoming a Chief Pilot for the first time:
  • Must have a least 3 years experience, within the past 6 year, as a Pilot in Command of a large airplane operated under part 121 or part 135
  • In the case of a person with previous experience as a Chief Pilot:
  • Must have a least 3 years of experience as PIC of a large airplane operated under part 121 or part 135
  • Familiarity with GOM and the pilot working agreements
  • Must meet the job requirements and essential functions of a line pilot
  • Must have an unrestricted FAA ATP certificate
  • Must possess the ability to lead, motivate and build consensus
  • Must possess strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational achievement
  • Must be able to secure appropriate airport authority and/or US Customs security badges
  • Must pass a DOT pre-employment drug test
  • Must pass a TSA required fingerprint-based criminal history records check and a Breeze background check
  • Must fulfill FAA criminal background checks to qualify for unescorted access privileges to airport security identification display areas (SIDA)
  • Must be able to read, write, fluently speak, and understand the English language

  • The ability to read, write, and speak the English language fluently
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and problem-solving skills
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong PC skills desired
  • Extensive experience with Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe products
  • Ability to facilitate cooperative relationships between/among people and departments
  • Ability to work with individuals and teams at all levels in the organization
Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the Vice President of Flight Operations/Director of Operations
  • Ensure crewmembers are compliant with FAA, Breeze and Flight Operations Department Rules and Regulations
  • Responsible for performance counseling and the administration of discipline and/or termination
  • Responsible for pilot grievance handling, investigation, and disposition
  • Represents Breeze through their actions and communications with the crewmembers
  • Ensure crewmember appearance, attendance, performance, and personal conduct are in compliance with Breeze standards and policies
  • Act as a resource to station management for flight operations
  • Work with outside government agencies such as the FAA and the NTSB to resolve operational concerns
  • Provide recommendations to the Training Department
  • Assist with the recruitment and interviewing of pilot candidates
  • Achieve performance measures and adhere to established standards in conjunction with Breeze Aviation Group Values of Safety, Kindness, Integrity, Ingenuity, and Excellence
  • Other duties as assigned
Desired Qualifications
  • 4-year degree from an accredited university
  • Prior experience in Flight Management or as a Check Airman
