  • Masters/Bachelor of Engineering or Bachelor of Technology in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering from Indian University (UGC approved) or from Overseas University.
  • Well versed with software Caesar II, Autopipe, Nozzlepro, Navisworks; Caesar II is a must; Knowledge of CAEPIPE and AUTOPIPE would be an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of piping codes and standards such as ASME, American Society of Mechanical Engineers; API; Indian Boiler Regulation; stress analysis of metallic and non-metallic piping connected to various static and rotating equipment.
  • Sound knowledge in pipe stress analysis.
  • Experience in performing dynamic analysis such as seismic, surge, slug, wind etc.
  • Experience in performing pipe stress analysis for brownfield jobs.
  • Ability to lead as Lead Stress Engineer for multiple jobs and allocate work to engineers; guiding junior engineers.
Responsibilities
  • Perform pipe stress analysis of lines connected to critical equipment such as centrifugal and reciprocating compressors/pumps, turbines, jacketed piping, fired heaters, reboilers, etc.
  • Perform stress analysis of pipelines as per ASME B31.4/31.8 codes.
  • Perform stress analysis for above ground and underground metallic and non-metallic piping.
  • Conduct dynamic analysis of piping systems in Caesar II using modal, response spectrum, time history methods.
  • Perform WRC 107/297 checks.
  • Prepare stress specifications, pipe support standard specifications, critical line list, etc.
  • Prepare stress reports as per client requirements.
  • Review and signing off piping isometrics considering flexibility and supporting.
  • Review drawings and datasheets for vendors.
  • Lead, coordinate, and guide the technical development of the team; allocate work to engineers.
  • Coordinate with client, vendor, and other disciplines; work as per quality and safety requirements; adopt flexible approach to project needs.
  • Provide stress markups and support loads to piping layout and structural team.
  • Prepare datasheets for supports such as springs, snubbers, struts, expansion joints and conduct their technical bid assessments.

  • Knowledge of CAEPIPE and AUTOPIPE would be an added advantage.
  • Exposure to Nozzlepro and Navisworks; strong familiarity with piping stress analysis software.
