Requirements
  • 5-8 years of related experience in logistics or supply chain functions
  • First level university degree or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of logistics and procurement processes
  • Knowledge of and experience with MRP systems
  • Experience managing a team
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment to solve complex issues
Responsibilities
  • Preparing outgoing shipments and receiving incoming shipments
  • Reviewing incoming and outgoing shipment schedules
  • Preparing shipping documents and optimizing cost/quality/delivery
  • Managing outbound and inbound products, materials, and supplies
  • Collaborating with external parties for successful shipping activities
  • Investigating HTS codes and preparing pro-forma invoices for international shipments
  • Tracking and updating shipment status
  • Handling shipping logistics for major projects and key customer accounts
  • Optimizing shipment modes for HR and IT deliveries
  • Supporting outsourced assemblers and engaging with buyers and production schedulers
  • Operating equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks
  • Overseeing a clean and organized shipping/receiving area
  • Setting and tracking S&R annual expense budget
  • Managing inventory of shipping/receiving consumables
  • Supporting other facilities and remote workers receiving
  • Leading carrier and 3PL supplier selection and development
  • Formulating and implementing processes related to shipping & receiving
  • Maintaining critical shipping certifications and standards
  • Providing backup support for inventory manager
  • Operating on the safety committee and developing layout of future shipping & receiving areas
