The Solution Innovation Software Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of portal interfaces, API connector layers, mobile applications, demonstration tools, and several new innovations related to private wireless solutions for different industries. This role is an opportunity to work directly with actual end customer IT environments and cutting-edge solutions creation. Environments will include full private networks to cloud integrated environments with AWS and Azure cloud.
Minimum Requirements:
- At least 5 years of experience in an engineering capacity developing C or C++ with Fullstack experience.
- CentOS / RHEL Linux experience
- Experience creating web and mobile phone applications and libraries, Android and Apple
- Experience in building standalone software applications, scripting languages including python, bash, go
- Experience in networking and Internet, Cloud, and private Data Center operating practices
- Familiarity using source control packages such as git and dev support tools such as bitbucket, JIRAm Confluence
Additional Experience and Knowledge a Plus:
- Knowledge of cellular wireless functions, including wireless core functions, that include mobile location, SIM profiles and mobile user provisioning, and the base call control and user plane functions
- Knowledge of the wireless IMS functions, 5G network slicing, and other applications
- AWS Certifications and experience developing in AWS Cloud
- Experience in virtualization environments (VM, Containers)
Education Required:
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering with emphasis on software development.
Position Location & Travel:
- This position will be based out of the Chicago Illinois area, or Boulder Colorado area.
- Occasional domestic or international travel may be required.
