Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and five or more years of experience in career counseling are required.
  • Experience with the MBA recruiting process and management experience in a human resources environment are required.
  • Extremely strong interpersonal communication abilities and a strong team orientation are required.
  • Proven experience handling corporate and/or university relationships is required.
  • Proven leadership is required.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multitask environment with tight deadlines is required.
  • Experience coaching and mentoring junior staff on professional development and career skills is required.
  • The candidate must be strategic and innovative and focus on holistic, systemic solutions.
  • Strong leadership, coaching, and advising skills are required.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate and deliver results by working with others is required.
  • Significant experience or expertise in at least one industry or function is required.
  • Recruiting experience as a hiring manager or recruiting or human resources professional is required.
  • The candidate must be skilled at delivering consulting-style case interviews.
Responsibilities
  • Develop career management strategies and counsel MBA students on their careers.
  • Co-manage employer relationships and assist with engagement strategies for employers within the consulting industry.
  • Contribute career advice and industry expertise to the development and delivery of client-focused career management services for full-time and evening MBA students.
  • Support the MBA admissions process through prospective-student career programming.
  • Work closely with business-school faculty, staff, students, employers, alumni, and other stakeholders who may influence students' career paths.
  • Provide career management advice to students and recruiting guidance to employers.
  • Manage on-campus and virtual employer presentations, events, interviewing, and programming with support from an operations coordinator.
  • Focus on the consulting industry and coach students focused on a specific function or uncertain about their career focus.
  • Provide leadership and support to industry team members.
  • Maintain primary responsibility for external relationships and account management on behalf of career management.
  • Interact with faculty, administrators, alumni, employers, and board members, and serve as a liaison between employers and students.
Desired Qualifications
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Understanding of general recruiting databases.
  • Budgeting experience.
