Requirements
  • 10+ years in sales enablement, revenue enablement, or a sales-facing role such as sales, sales leadership, or go-to-market programs, with a track record of enabling teams at scale.
  • Demonstrated ability to build successful enablement for a field of hundreds, prioritizing leverage, repeatability, and self-service delivery.
  • Experience building sales plays, playbooks, and programs from a global content base and adapting them for a specific segment or motion.
  • Experience partnering with senior vice presidents and their leadership teams as a trusted advisor, translating segment strategy into enablement priorities, and contributing effectively in business reviews.
  • Ability to tie enablement to pipeline and consumption outcomes and demonstrate measurable impact.
  • Ability to build programs, tools, and automations and use artificial intelligence as a daily force multiplier to produce enablement assets faster.
  • Ability to drive alignment across peers and leaders without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with high-velocity and volume sales motions and comfort operating in a matrixed enablement organization.
Responsibilities
  • Own the AMER Scale-motion sales enablement strategy for the America’s Emerging Enterprise Business segment, from foundational onboarding through advanced selling motions, across the full account-executive population.
  • Build the Scale playbook using the Global Bill of Materials by adapting global enablement content to the Scale motion and closing content gaps with Global Sales Enablement.
  • Render horizontal plays into a Scale version by partnering with the BU+1 enablement team and building the motion-specific implementation.
  • Ship repeatable plays, self-service content, artificial-intelligence role-plays, and programmatic onboarding tools for accounts in the AMER motion.
  • Own the enablement relationship with AEEB sales leadership, align priorities to segment strategy, surface gaps, and report field readiness and pipeline impact in monthly and quarterly business reviews.
  • Drive enablement-influenced pipeline and pipeline-generation attainment by motion.
  • Triage global and cross-functional requests, prioritize work that advances the motion, and route remaining requests appropriately.
  • Establish a two-way feedback loop with Global by identifying field friction, recommending improvements, and proposing new global programs based on successful Scale practices.
  • Coordinate with Customer, Partner, and field engineering enablement peers and the Depth enablement lead, resolving prioritization or scope conflicts through the team’s Play Council.
  • Define and track key performance indicators for coverage, reach, enablement-influenced pipeline, consumption, pipeline-generation attainment, and new-account-executive ramp time.
  • Stay close to the field through live deals and coaching moments to refine enablement programs against actual selling practices.
Desired Qualifications
  • Experience enabling a scale, commercial, or emerging-business segment rather than enterprise or named-account depth.
  • Familiarity with the data and artificial intelligence market and how technical products are sold.
  • Experience with partner-motion or channel enablement.
  • Prior experience in a regional or segment-aligned enablement role within a matrixed organization.
  • Experience using artificial-intelligence tools to productize enablement content at scale.

Pengana's AIX acquires 8% stake in $190B AI platform Databricks

ASX-listed AI Private Opportunities Trust has acquired a position in Databricks, allocating approximately 8% of its portfolio to the US data and AI company. San Francisco-based Databricks raised $5 billion in August 2024 at a $190 billion valuation. The platform serves over 70% of Fortune 500 companies and more than 20,000 organisations worldwide. Databricks crossed a $7 billion revenue run rate in its most recent quarter, growing over 80% year-on-year whilst maintaining positive free cash flow. This investment follows AIX's deployment of over one-third of its portfolio across positions including ByteDance, Helsing, and Handshake. The trust aims to provide Australian investors access to private AI market leaders typically limited to institutional investors. GCM Grosvenor manages the trust's investments and is in advanced discussions to close several additional positions.

Databricks hires ex-AWS executive to lead Asia partners amid 85% growth

Databricks has appointed former Amazon Web Services executive Briscoe to lead its Asia Pacific & Japan partner organisation. She previously headed AWS's partner operations in the region and held similar roles at Microsoft and Cisco. The move supports Databricks' regional expansion. In April, the company named Simon Davies as regional leader and reported over 85% year-on-year growth in its fourth quarter. It now has more than 1,500 employees across Asia Pacific & Japan and plans to establish headquarters in Singapore. Databricks works with over 1,000 partners regionally and 8,000 globally through its Brickbuilder Partner Network. The company's AWS business has surpassed a $1 billion run rate. International Data Corporation forecasts Asia/Pacific AI spending will reach $175 billion by 2028.
