Requirements
  • A university degree in marketing, sales, hotel management, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of experience in a similar sales and marketing role in luxury hospitality.
  • Strong sales, marketing, negotiation, and market-analysis skills.
  • Ability to develop and manage a budget, make strategic decisions, and resolve operational and strategic problems.
  • Experience managing a team, including motivating staff, monitoring performance, managing conflicts, and developing talent.

Responsibilities
  • Define and implement effective sales and marketing strategies in close collaboration with the Revenue and E-commerce teams to position the hotel across accommodation, food and beverage, events, and other revenue segments.
  • Lead and develop a team of eight employees and organize the department's operations to achieve revenue and positioning objectives.
  • Direct the sales team toward strategic objectives and optimal performance.
  • Contribute to budget planning by defining ambitious objectives by segment and source market.
  • Develop and implement an annual sales strategy aligned with departmental objectives to maximize performance across major revenue streams.
  • Identify and develop strategic relationships with existing and prospective clients through retention and prospecting initiatives, including trade shows, promotional events, and domestic and international sales missions.
  • Supervise contract negotiations and sales-closing processes, ensuring advantageous terms for the hotel and the client.
  • Negotiate and manage annual contracts for major accounts in partnership with the General Manager and Accor Group.
  • Monitor the booking patterns of corporate groups weekly to maximize occupancy and increase revenue.
  • Ensure the company's visibility and inclusion in global programs, including requests for proposal and consortium programs, under the preferred rate structure directly or jointly with the Sofitel brand.
  • Measure, analyze, and periodically present departmental and company performance results, and adjust the sales plan based on opportunities and challenges.
  • Analyze and monitor the room-night productivity report for corporate accounts handled by each sales manager to ensure monthly objectives are achieved.
  • Guide decisions using market-trend and competitive-activity analyses.
  • Develop, control, and monitor the department's annual budget and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Provide clear and inspiring direction to the sales and marketing team and create a positive environment conducive to collaboration, innovation, and operational excellence.
  • Recruit, train, and coach team members in collaboration with the Assistant Director of Sales, ensuring they meet individual objectives and contribute to collective objectives.
  • Conduct regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to support each team member's professional development; when necessary, hold management discussions with employees and manage disciplinary processes.
  • Collaborate with operational teams, including food and beverage, banquet, revenue and reservations, front desk, and housekeeping, to ensure coordination and a harmonious customer experience.
  • Improve the department's work methods in alignment with Sofitel brand philosophy.
  • Optimize customer satisfaction by implementing innovative solutions to continuously improve the customer experience based on industry best practices.
  • Manage and follow up on customer comments, claims, and complaints.
  • Maintain strong relationships with clients to foster loyalty.
  • Ensure service quality, customer comfort, and a warm, personalized welcome.
  • Supervise and evaluate the Marketing and Communications Manager in implementing innovative marketing initiatives to increase hotel and restaurant visibility, stimulate demand, and optimize revenue.
  • Lead the company's marketing projects in compliance with market trends and Sofitel brand standards.
  • Collaborate with operational departments and the corporate group when developing promotional campaigns, special offers, events, and partnerships.
  • Ensure brand-image consistency across written content, online platforms, the website, press releases, advertisements, and promotional brochures.
  • Establish key performance indicators to evaluate campaign effectiveness and adjust strategies when necessary.
  • Generate strong local, regional, and international visibility through proactive press relations and influencer collaborations.
  • Develop strategic partnerships with luxury brands and cultural stakeholders to create exclusive events, co-branded campaigns, and high-value activations.
