Requirements
  • Be a full-time student pursuing a degree in Engineering or Business.
  • Demonstrate strong academic performance through relevant coursework, projects, research, leadership experiences, or other academic achievements.
  • Demonstrate structured thinking through experience writing problem statements, defining goals and metrics, and outlining plans with owners and timelines.
  • Have leadership experience in projects, teams, clubs, or community activities, showing ownership, collaboration, and follow-through.
  • Demonstrate initiative and results orientation, with comfort taking the first cut at plans, risks, and options for review.
  • Have strong analytical and communication skills and be able to translate technical or operational details into clear, simple narratives and plans.
  • Be able to work a minimum of 28 weeks full-time at 40 hours per week.
  • Be legally authorized to work in the United States.
  • Complete a drug screen when applicable.
Responsibilities
  • Decompose ambiguous problem statements into clear problem definitions, success criteria, and deliverables.
  • Synthesize next steps into lightweight, appropriately sized project plans with milestones, owners, and dependencies, and keep them current as facts change.
  • Define measurable outcomes and leading indicators, track progress, and use data to inform decisions and trade-offs.
  • Apply structured problem-solving methods such as 5-Whys to identify root causes and recommend pragmatic solutions.
  • Support the Program Manager in orchestrating multiple projects within a product line across Life Sustaining Solutions and partner teams.
  • Manage cross-functional execution to remove blockers, clarify ownership, and avoid gaps or delays.
  • Maintain a risk, issue, and decision log; anticipate integration issues and propose options with their pros, cons, and impacts on scope, cost, and schedule.
  • Facilitate status communication for teams, leadership, and suppliers, highlighting decisions needed, risks, and next steps.
  • Partner with business and technical leaders to clarify requirements, align goals, and validate acceptance criteria.
  • Prepare concise briefings, slides, and one-pagers that capture problem context, options considered, selected approach, and results.
Desired Qualifications
  • Strong academic performance with a preferred GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale.
  • Prior internship or co-op experience in design engineering, business, law, manufacturing, or operations.
  • Exposure to project budgeting or basic analytics, including Excel, Sheets, or dashboards.
  • Familiarity with root-cause tools such as 5-Whys and fishbone analysis.
  • Ability to prioritize using impact/effort thinking and comfort making structured trade-offs and documenting decisions.
  • Adaptability in dynamic environments and strong stakeholder communication skills.

GE HealthCare secures CE mark for Photonova Spectra photon-counting CT system

GE HealthCare has received CE mark approval for its Photonova Spectra photon-counting computed tomography system, enabling commercial sales in markets recognising CE marking. The clearance follows US Food and Drug Administration approval and Japanese regulatory clearance in March 2026. The system uses GE HealthCare's Deep Silicon detector technology to deliver ultra-high definition spectral and spatial imaging. It processes data volumes up to 50 times greater than conventional CT systems, utilising Nvidia's accelerated computing platform. Clinical collaborations are underway at UZ Brussel in Belgium and Rigshospitalet in Denmark to evaluate the system across cardiology, neurology, oncology and musculoskeletal imaging. The CE mark follows more than $5 billion in innovation investment by GE HealthCare.

GE HealthCare launches three new Vivid cardiovascular ultrasound systems for diverse care settings

GE HealthCare has introduced three new cardiovascular ultrasound systems to its Vivid portfolio: Vivid Explorer 1, Vivid Advanced 1, and Vivid Focus 1. The systems were unveiled at the European Society of Cardiology Congress 2026 in Munich, Germany. Each system targets different clinical settings whilst sharing a common technology foundation with the ultra-premium Vivid Pioneer. Vivid Explorer is designed for high-volume echo labs, Vivid Advanced for mid-size hospitals and cardiology practices, and Vivid Focus for everyday cardiac imaging. All three systems use cSound imaging technology and include AI-enabled automation tools to streamline echo workflows. The systems have received CE Mark approval but are awaiting US FDA 510(k) clearance and are not yet available for sale in the United States.

GE HealthCare launches Invenia ABUS Prime and StreamVue for breast cancer screening

GE HealthCare has launched Invenia ABUS Prime and ABUS StreamVue, expanding its breast imaging portfolio with solutions for supplemental screening in women with dense breasts.
