Requirements
  • A minimum of ten years of management experience in Army Materiel Maintenance is required.
  • A minimum of five years of direct shop supervisory experience in a setting involving the maintenance of Army materiel is required.
  • A minimum of five years of experience with financial management and knowledge of Army Logistics Information Systems is required.
  • An Associate's degree is required at a minimum.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of governing regulations, policies, and procedures dealing with Army Materiel Maintenance Management is required.
  • The ability to provide information and reports, resolve issues, and recommend actions to improve delivery of services is required.
  • Intermediate to advanced-level skills in Microsoft Office software, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint, are required.
  • The ability to understand, speak, read, and write English is required.
  • The ability to communicate effectively with employees at all levels, Government representatives, and outside contacts is required.
  • A valid driver's license in the state of employment with an acceptable driving record is required.
  • The ability to pass a pre-employment background check is required.
  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • The ability to lift up to 50 pounds, stand and walk for prolonged periods, and twist, bend, and squat periodically is required.
  • The ability to work in environments with potential exposure to heat, cold, noise, dust, mist, and fumes and to use required personal protective equipment is required.
  • The employee must currently hold a Secret-level security clearance.
Responsibilities
  • Provide administrative and operational leadership for the FCCO Maintenance Department within the program guidelines established by the Project Manager and contract Performance Work Statement.
  • Provide oversight and guidance for Materiel Maintenance Division operations subordinate personnel, including mechanics and shop and supply support staff.
  • Perform the duties of the Project Manager during absences or when otherwise unavailable.
  • Plan and direct personnel and required resources for day-to-day mission support, including repair of motorized equipment and small arms and weapons.
  • Direct the completion of operational tracking reports for the Materiel Maintenance Division.
  • Provide input to the Project Manager on Contract Deliverable Requirements List reports covering the Materiel Maintenance Division, including developing and updating standard operating procedures.
  • Provide oversight to field and limited sustainment maintenance for installation tenants and organizations in a cost-effective and efficient manner, and verify that products and services meet or exceed Army quality standards.
  • Supervise scheduled maintenance, monitor production, and ensure maintenance cycle times are achieved.
  • Ensure maintenance facilities are safe and all support equipment is serviceable.
  • Participate in meetings and activities established by the Government.
  • Manage financial and general accounting requirements and quality control plans and processes related to Materiel Maintenance Division operations.
  • Manage continuous process improvement and quality assurance, including performance tracking, cost outcomes, and continuous process improvement awareness training.
  • Coordinate the work of others and build a cohesive team by gaining cooperation.
  • Adjust work to operational needs and meet emergency or changing program and production requirements.
  • Analyze organizational and operational problems and develop timely and economical solutions.
  • Provide resources to plan, organize, and manage maintenance personnel in support of the FCCO Logistics Readiness Center.
  • Maintain control and accountability for Government-furnished property, material, equipment, and facilities.
  • Provide leadership and direction to the FCCO Materiel Maintenance Division management and technical team.
  • Monitor and provide effective performance feedback through employee recognition, coaching, and disciplinary action.
  • Ensure communication flows between upper management and employees.
