The Opportunity

We are looking for a results driven Financial Accountant to join our Finance Team. This role plays a critical part in supporting the strategic and financial objectives of the DuBois group.

Reporting to the Chief Operating Officer, this role is a fundamental part of the Finance Team  and is a fantastic opportunity for a high-energy, attention to detail, Accounting professional. Duties include:

• Complete relevant Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss reconciliations
• Responsible for the month end process and delivery of accurate month-end reporting and identifying any risk and opportunities
• Manage the year end tax and audit process
• Collecting and Analysing Data in preparation of weekly and monthly reports
• Ensure all company statutory obligations are met (BAS, FBT, Payroll Tax)
• Examining and reviewing financial records to check for accuracy
• Manage the company cashflow
• Assist all staff with financial related queries
• Manage and provide guidance and support to Assistant Accountants, Accounts Payable Officer, Credit Controller, Purchasing Officers and Receptionist
• Management of Company Fixed Asset register and reporting requirements
• Management of Company Insurance policies
• Management of Company bank accounts
• Ad-hoc projects as and when required

About You

To be successful in this role, you will need to demonstrate the following:

• Chartered Accountant (CA) or Certified Practicing Accountant (CPA) qualified
• Experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role
• Strong analytical & investigative approach
• Experience in systems development
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills
• Ability to set priorities, plan work schedules and meet deadlines
• Effectively manage the Business Services Team, with the ability to lead, mentor and develop staff
• Able to work with minimal supervision
• Advanced Excel skills
