Requirements
  • A bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study, plus a minimum of ten years of relevant experience; an equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Progressively responsible IT experience with significant focus on customer-facing or customer-operations technology.
  • Demonstrated experience with customer information systems, SAP IS-U FI-CA and Billing, or other large-scale customer service platforms.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional delivery teams and manage complex, high-visibility systems.
  • A master’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field of study is preferred.
  • Hands-on experience with customer information system billing, IS-U FI-CA, or credit and collections platforms is preferred.
  • Understanding of batch processing, billing cycles, and the customer impact of system changes is preferred.
  • Experience with FI-CA concepts such as contract accounts, dunning, write-offs, agency interfaces, and payment processing is preferred.
  • Familiarity with utility credit and collections policies, including low-income programs, payment arrangements, and regulatory constraints, is preferred.
  • Ability to balance operational stability with incremental modernization is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are preferred.
  • Clear written and verbal communication skills, particularly when explaining system issues to nontechnical stakeholders, are preferred.
Responsibilities
  • Own the technology platforms and configurations supporting consumption and non-consumption billing, FI-CA contract accounts, postings, payments and dunning, and credit and collections workflows, rules, and customer communications.
  • Ensure systems operate reliably during critical billing, invoicing, and collections cycles.
  • Act as first-line IT accountability for production issues impacting bills, payments, or customer balances.
  • Monitor system performance, batch jobs, interfaces, and controls across the billing and collections landscape.
  • Partner with business teams to identify, prioritize, and reduce billing exceptions, estimated bills, and manual workarounds.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective actions for billing defects, posting issues, and collections failures.
  • Lead IT delivery for billing and collections enhancements, including configuration changes, releases, and minor projects.
  • Translate business requirements into clear functional and technical designs aligned with utility standards.
  • Support unit, integration, and user acceptance testing, with emphasis on bill accuracy and customer impact.
  • Ensure billing and collections technology complies with applicable tariffs, customer protection rules, and regulatory timelines.
  • Support internal and external audits, data requests, and regulatory inquiries related to billing accuracy and collections practices.
  • Maintain controls, documentation, and traceability for changes impacting customer charges and financial outcomes.
  • Serve as a day-to-day IT liaison for Billing, Credit and Collections, and Customer Accounting leadership.
  • Coordinate across IT teams, including customer information systems, integrations, data, and infrastructure, to resolve issues and deliver enhancements.
  • Communicate with business partners about system issues, risks, release timing, and stabilization activities.
  • Manage small teams of analysts/configurators and coordinate work with system integrators or application support vendors.
  • Ensure service-level agreements, backlog priorities, and release activities align with billing calendars and operational constraints.
  • Contribute to planning and forecasting of run costs and small capital initiatives within the assigned scope.

Iberdrola picks ICEYE's SAR satellites to protect grid from extreme weather

Iberdrola has selected ICEYE to strengthen its electricity grid against extreme weather events using synthetic aperture radar satellite technology and near real-time data. The solution will help anticipate risks including floods, fires and strong winds, assess damage quickly and minimise impact on electricity supply. The initiative won a New-Tech Challenge within Iberdrola's PERSEO innovation programme, receiving over 40 proposals from ten countries. The 12-month pilot will launch in Spain, with ICEYE's Flood Solutions Suite providing forecasting, rapid impact assessment and flood insights. The deployment also includes wind damage assessment solutions for Iberdrola's assets in the United States and Australia. ICEYE's SAR technology can capture high-resolution imagery through smoke and storm clouds, enabling continuous monitoring in all weather conditions day or night.

Wallbox restructures $191.5M debt with Spanish banks as Catalan government takes stake

Wallbox, the Barcelona-based electric vehicle charging systems company, has closed a debt restructuring agreement worth €169.5 million with creditors representing over 83% of its financial debt. The deal includes a capital increase that will bring the Generalitat of Catalonia in as a shareholder. The agreement, pending judicial approval and scheduled for signing on 8 April, restructures existing debt into a €57.6 million framework loan and a €69.1 million bullet instrument, both maturing in December 2030. A working capital agreement of approximately €42.8 million was also reached. The restructuring includes a €10.65 million capital increase, with strategic shareholders contributing €5.65 million and the Generalitat adding €5 million. Participating banks will provide €12.5 million in new financing. CEO Enric Asunción said the agreement strengthens Wallbox's financial position.
