Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline is preferred.
  • At least 5 years of experience in engineering or a related discipline, or an equivalent combination of education and experience, is preferred.
  • U.S. citizenship is required due to the security requirements of the position.
  • All candidates must be eligible to work in the United States.
  • Strong analytical skills in machine design and stress analysis are required.
  • Proficiency with computer-aided design software, preferably Autodesk Inventor or an equivalent, is required.
  • Ability to perform basic design, layout, testing, and evaluation of mechanical and electromechanical systems and components is required.
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering plans and specifications is required.
  • Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions is required.
  • Ability to interpret technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and manage abstract and concrete variables is required.
Responsibilities
  • Support the execution of testing operations accurately and efficiently.
  • Apply engineering techniques to complete and assign tasks within budget and scheduling constraints.
  • Analyze and test the feasibility, design, operation, and performance of mechanical equipment systems.
  • Develop new applications and test procedures.
  • Maintain engineering data and drawings, including layouts, three-dimensional models, and structural analyses.
  • Develop technical documentation, including engineering plans, requirements definitions, test procedures, installation design plans, and related technical reports.
  • Provide technical guidance to personnel developing design approaches and executing test procedures.
  • Review and correct drawings to ensure proper engineering techniques and accuracy.
