Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in math, economics, Engineering and/or business related concentration
  • 5+ years of experience in a finance related position such as Financial Operations, Cost Management, Accounting, Estimating, Financial Planning, Contracts or Procurement Financial Analysis (PFA)
  • 3+ or more years of performing cost estimating/pricing function
  • Experience supporting audit, fact-finding and negotiations
  • Experience with Microsoft Excel (examples: formatting, creating spreadsheet, pivots, etc.)
Responsibilities
  • Working with Contracts & Pricing, Supplier Management, Procurement Financial Analysis, Engineering, Program Management, and other functional organizations to understand and analyze the labor and material requirements, develop estimating plans, obtain data, and prepare estimates of material & labor costs for new business opportunities and current contract mods
  • Preparation of complex TINA compliant cost volumes for submittal in proposals USG and FMS customers, as well as cost volumes for commercial and competitive proposals
  • Develop the basis of estimate, provide supporting details such as tasks, actual cost incurred, analogies, cost estimating relationships, supplier quotations, similar to and providing pricing of the overall effort
  • Develop estimating processes and lead in development of data to include parametrics for use in estimates across a wide range of products
  • Develops, prepares and validates estimates and prices
  • Perform and quantify risk and opportunity analysis as part of the estimating validation
  • Post submittal support of the acquisition process to include customer fact finding, negotiations, and sweep activities
