Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Mechanical/Electrical disciplines, or related technical field.
  • Additional certifications in asset management, project management, or procurement strategy are highly regarded
  • Minimum of 15 years' engineering experience in a heavy equipment or industrial environment, with deep exposure to complex operational systems.
  • At least 10 years in a senior management or leadership role, with a strong record of leading cross-functional teams and engineering operations.
  • Strong strategic thinking capabilities with the ability to anticipate industry trends, forecast long-term needs, and translate vision into actionable plans.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing competitive and breakthrough strategies that drive operational performance and innovation.
  • Future-oriented mindset with a broad industry perspective and the ability to communicate visionary goals credibly and effectively.
  • Proven experience in managing major strategic projects, including: Engineering systems implementation and upgrades, Equipment procurement and refurbishment, Large-scale asset lifecycle management initiatives.
Responsibilities
  • Develop and manage a comprehensive 10-year life cycle asset management plan for all terminals.
  • Plan and direct technical knowledge-sharing initiatives, including site assessments, on-the-job training, workshops, and learning programs in collaboration with L&D and Safety & Environment teams.
  • Provide objective, independent assurance and consulting support aimed at continuously improving engineering operations.
  • Lead commercial and legal aspects of strategic equipment procurement, including negotiations, vendor management, and contract execution.
  • Establish and implement regional engineering strategies, policies, procedures, and guidelines to enhance operational performance.
  • Promote innovation and the adoption of integrated engineering technologies and systems across all business sites.
  • Support and drive continuous improvement efforts by evaluating the effectiveness of engineering operations through a systematic, disciplined approach.
