Job Description
The Community Engagement Specialist will report to Dr. Lynne Murray while on the CWC site. Specialist supports community engagement work and service Learning projects through activities like service learning support, volunteer center coordination, social media/communications support, GivePulse support, and/or general office work.

Hours may vary depending on the job requirements; however, this position typically requires 10-12 hours per week. The total number of hours a student employee may work per week is 20 hours. Must be dependable with a flexible schedule.
Responsibilities:
Service Learning
Site Presence & Oversight: Be present at the service-learning site from 2:30–6:00pm Monday-Thursday, ensure site coverage by service learners, complete tasks as requested by site director, and maintain accurate student attendance.
Support & Mentorship: Mentor new service-learning students, maintain positive relationships at the site, and help coordinate the end-of-semester celebration to support a strong partnership between the site and High Point University.
Communication & Liaison Role: Serve as a liaison between students, site administration, and professors as needed to support effective communication during volunteer hours.
Administrative & Academic Responsibilities: Visit the service-learning classroom periodically, manage GivePulse responsibilities, and meet with the professor to discuss student progress and process improvement opportunities.
Applicants should possess strong written and verbal communication skills and be able to respond quickly to emails and phone calls.
