Requirements
  • An advanced degree, four-year degree, or equivalent experience.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in distribution, retail, manufacturing, or supply chain/logistics.
  • Applicable team management or supervisory experience.
  • Root cause analysis capability and the ability to leverage quality data to influence decisions, identify risks, and identify improvement efficiencies.
  • Strong organizational skills, including identifying process solutions and developing operational improvement plans through documented process maps.
  • Ability to apply change principles and processes to identify, manage, initiate, and influence adoption of change initiatives.
  • Ability to lead a team through ambiguity, manage multiple tasks or projects, and deliver consistently against timelines.
  • Ability to lead or influence high-performing teams.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to work in prolonged exposure to cold temperatures between 32 and 50 degrees Fahrenheit.
  • Ability to occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
  • Open to relocation.
Responsibilities
  • Supervise the Quality team to achieve food and floral quality management and control results and ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Ensure leadership and hourly teams understand processes that impact building quality performance and adhere to stated best practices.
  • Collaborate with Food Distribution Center stakeholders and peers across the network to drive Target Food and Beverage and Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory priorities.
  • Identify quality and food safety risks based on operational processes and key controls, and escalate issues promptly for internal and operational resolution planning.
  • Drive continuous improvement through documented process maps to comply with and maintain Target requirements and federal and local regulations.
  • Set and maintain compliance performance plans by generating preventive and corrective plans based on root-cause remediation.
  • Establish relationships with key stakeholders to develop and maintain an integrated food and floral quality management program.
  • Collaborate with vendors to hold them accountable for Target and Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory compliance requirements using food and floral quality metrics.
  • Analyze current quality key controls to support the development and management of network food and floral specifications and requirements.
  • Leverage and analyze quality and food safety metrics to facilitate and maintain team training and calibration content.
  • Engage and develop team members to maximize performance, make real-time behavioral observations, provide regular and specific feedback on individual and team performance, and respond to team members' questions and concerns.
  • Model and promote a culture that champions Target's values, competencies, and Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory compliance.
  • Manage a safe workplace by advocating safety training and accident preparedness and fostering respect for diverse backgrounds.
  • Support the home Food Distribution Center and Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory teams as assigned.

  • HACCP or PCQI certification, or the ability to achieve certification within 6 months.
