Overview
GRIN is looking for a proven Product leader to join asDirector, Product Management, reporting directly to the VP of Product. In this role you will manage and lead the teams of high-performing product managers as we cement our position as category leader. You will own the product roadmap for GRIN products, work with Product and GRIN leadership to drive product strategy, and collaborate with cross functional teams to lead best in class products that customers love.
You’ll lead by example as you facilitate cross-functional collaborations and identify opportunities for the product management team to operate more strategically, holistically, and effectively. You’ll be operating within the org through building strong relationships, navigating difficult conversations, aligning on recommendations, and managing stakeholders. As a strong communicator and presenter, you will be making presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders, as well as representing the product in external functions.
You will help maintain the GRIN culture while impacting the trajectory of an ambitious tech startup. We are a fast-paced, fun organization going through rapid growth and solving technical challenges at an exponential scale.
What You’ll Do:
- Scale, manage, coach, and lead an engaged and impactful team of product managers, helping grow them into the next generation of product leadership at GRIN
- Drive product planning and establish business-outcome-based roadmap in collaboration with Sales, CS, Product Marketing, Engineering, etc....
- Lead the ideation, design, technical development, and launch of the next iterations of GRIN products.
- Collaborate with product and cross-functional leaders to define a clear and measurable product strategy
- Ship minimum-loveable-products that test hypotheses while delivering a quality customer experience
- Understand customer needs and use them to inform clear product priorities
- Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of products
- Take accountability for delivering against a roadmap, leveraging product management and agile development best practice.
What You’ll Bring:
- 10+ years of product management experience
- 5+ years management experience in a product leadership role
- An owner’s mindset - you don’t shy away from the hard stuff.
- Strong collaboration in team environments but also able to act quickly as the decision-maker
- You care deeply about the people on your team, helping them to achieve their personal and professional goals, and enabling them to do their best work.
- You have excitement for building up teams.
- You are comfortable with ambiguity, autonomy, and responsibility; you enjoy figuring out what needs to be done—and then doing it.
- Experience conducting user research to inform product strategy and solution design.
- Experience using data and analytics to both understand and exceed customer and company expectations
- Proven experience owning a product roadmap and driving rapid business growth via a self-serve, freemium, product-led model in B2B SaaS.
- Experience at a fast-growing startup in a cross-functional environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills; a direct communicator who speaks with conviction and able to influence, persuade and engage in difficult conversations
- Relentless determination to do whatever it takes to make your product and team successful
- You have experience overseeing the product decision-making process across multiple teams.
GRIN is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. Final compensation for the role will depend on a number of factors including a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, and experience as it relates to the role.
United States Base Salary Range
$163,000—$190,000 USD
Canadian Base Salary Range
$160,000—$210,000 USD
