  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an ABET accredited university or equivalent.
  • 8+ years of vehicle design experience in the areas of exterior trim.
  • Knowledge of design considerations required for plastic/composite components.
  • Proven communication and team building skills.
  • Broad knowledge of NHSTA/FMVSS requirements related to exterior components.
  • Ability and Desire work in a fun and fast paced environment.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for the design and development of exterior components and assemblies, bumpers, fascia, grill, wipers.
  • Develop and implement functional objectives to meet project performance targets.
  • Manage all aspects of exterior component development to meet project requirements including performance, cost, mass, timing, manufacturability, etc.
  • Lead collaboration between internal/external teams and suppliers to meet all project requirements.
