Requirements
  • Demonstrated knowledge of operational finance within a hotel or hospitality environment.
  • Proficiency in financial systems and tools such as Opera, SUN, ADP, Micros, and advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles, profit and loss statements, budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Ability to build relationships across teams and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive and detail-oriented approach.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities while maintaining a professional and courteous demeanor.
  • Ability to communicate Finance information and maintain relationships with hotel stakeholders, including owners, Accor Europe Luxury Division, and banks.
Responsibilities
  • Partner with the Director of Finance to provide financial leadership and strategic guidance to the General Manager, Executive Committee, and Department Heads to achieve optimal financial and operational performance.
  • Collaborate with department leaders to interpret financial performance, analyze variances, and develop actionable plans to enhance profitability and efficiency.
  • Support the preparation, analysis, and presentation of financial performance metrics, forecasts, budgets, and variance reports, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Assist in developing and implementing business strategies aligned with financial objectives to support revenue growth, cost management, and operational excellence.
  • Participate in preparing and monitoring annual budgets, capital expenditure plans, and rolling forecasts with the Director of Finance and department heads.
  • Promote implementation of the GOP Theoretical Flow Through concept across departments to maximize profitability.
  • Ensure compliance with financial policies, contracts, and regulatory requirements while safeguarding company and owner interests.
  • Assist in preparing accurate and timely financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheet analysis, and owner reporting, in alignment with corporate standards.
  • Manage cash flow and ensure appropriate approvals and documentation for financial transactions, rebates, and adjustments according to company policy.
  • Support internal and external audit processes, including timely responses and implementation of corrective action plans.
  • Contribute to developing financial knowledge among department leaders and foster fiscal responsibility and accountability.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of financial management best practices and recommend and implement process improvements to enhance accuracy and efficiency.
  • Assist in maintaining and safeguarding financial documents, contracts, and agreements while ensuring adherence to the Hotel Management Agreement and local regulations.
