  • Currently pursuing and / or possessing one or more of the following certifications: Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate in Risk Management (ARM), Certified Risk Manager (CRM), Occupational Health & Safety Technician (OHST), or Construction Health & Safety Technician (CHST).
  • Proficient use of various core systems, office and computer equipment, and software packages.
  • Advanced level of technical knowledge in the areas of Fleet Risk Management and Employee Safety.
Responsibilities
  • Consistently manages a book of assigned large accounts for a variety of industries and provides ongoing loss control services.
  • Demonstrates ability to consistently manage large account service relationships with policyholders and agents by providing superior risk improvement services.
  • Effectively manages loss control assignments to support risk improvement and account service, with a focus on reducing line-of-business loss trends and improving safety programs.
  • Uses established loss control practices, processes, and procedures to analyze the operations and exposures of different types of risks.
  • Assesses risk attitude for addressing uncontrolled exposures on new and existing business and identifies risk improvement opportunities through recommendations and safety program improvements.
  • Applies advanced to expert-level knowledge of recognized codes and standards (e.g., OSHA, NFPA, DOT) with the ability to articulate to others in loss control survey work.
  • Proactively provides mentorship by leveraging a variety of learning approaches that result in increased effectiveness in multiple areas of knowledge or skill of colleagues.
  • Develops presentation materials and presents those materials in front of a group that consists of external customers (e.g., policyholders, agents) and internal customers (e.g., underwriting, claims, leadership, loss control peers).
  • Successfully manages projects and takes the lead role in project management and development of department resources.
  • Performs special projects and other duties as assigned.
  • Utilizes specialized knowledge, experience, and creative resources to find a wide range of loss control solutions and articulates solutions to others.
  • Consistently acts according to our customer experience standards, including responding quickly, maintaining a positive attitude, building rapport, demonstrating empathy, managing the customer’s expectations, using the proper communication channel for the situation, and taking ownership to ensure the customer’s issue is resolved.
  • Works with agents to foster and develop relationships and market loss control capabilities to secure new business.
