Requirements
  • A High School Diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
  • At least 2 years of dental experience are required.
  • Travel might be required between offices.
  • Knowledge of office practices, technology applications, and patient insurance is required.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team, multitask without compromising work quality, communicate effectively orally and in writing, maintain patient-record confidentiality, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment is required.
Responsibilities
  • Gain a financial commitment from patients to start treatment diagnosed by the Specialist.
  • Achieve proficiency in the PDS system and tools to assist patients in making treatment decisions suited to their wants and needs.
  • Coordinate specialty consultations and treatment plans, serving as the subject matter expert for plans that include specialty treatment.
  • Manage Specialists’ schedules proactively to keep them full, staggered, balanced, and productive, with appropriate treatment paperwork completed.
  • Act as a liaison between office and specialty teams by facilitating communication, schedule considerations, consultations, treatment-plan changes, and follow-up appointments with specialty, general practice, and hygiene teams.
  • Explain available financial options so patients can choose dentistry that fits their budgets.
  • Address common patient objections to starting treatment before specialty appointments.
  • Obtain required insurance pre-authorizations before treatment.
  • Participate in daily morning huddles, monthly team meetings, and other required meetings.
  • Understand specialty goals and metrics, including reports used to track key metrics and patient care.
  • Support the PDS Brand framework and make decisions consistent with it.
  • Develop knowledge of the Mouth Body Connection and support clinical excellence through comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and demeanor in accordance with company policies and address others professionally and respectfully.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and state, federal, and other regulatory requirements.
  • Model company culture, values, standards, and operational best practices based on the We Believe Behavioral Framework.
  • Perform other assigned duties and responsibilities.
Desired Qualifications
  • Prior coursework or on-the-job training in dentistry, insurance, or business.
