Position Summary

Sikich isseeking a Sr. Analytics Consultant to join our dynamic data and AI consulting practice. This client-facing role requires a strategic thinker who can bridge the gap between complex technical solutions and business value creation.  You'll help organizations modernize their data infrastructure, implement robust data and AI programs, discover, design, and deliver comprehensive insights for executive and operational analytics, and create scalable data ecosystems that enable advanced data, analytics, and AI capabilities for our clients.  The ideal will have worked with Fortune 1000 companies and executive leadership teams to drive transformational analytics initiatives and implement cutting-edge data and AI solutions.

As a Senior Analytics Consultant at Sikich, you'll develop comprehensive data strategies that transform how clients manage, access, and leverage their information assets. This position requires deep expertise in database technologies, data modeling, insights frameworks, data governance, data strategy, and enterprise data architecture to successfully guide clients through complex data modernization journeys.

What will you do in this role?

Client Engagement & Requirements Gathering

• Partner with Fortune 1000 clients to understand their business challenges and identify analytics opportunities
• Conduct stakeholder interviews and workshops to elicit detailed analytics requirements and define success metrics
• Collaborate with C-suite executives and senior leadership to align analytics initiatives with strategic business outcomes
• Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for executive audiences

Solution Design & Architecture

• Design and architect comprehensive data Lakehouse solutions tailored to client needs
• Plan and oversee the implementation of modern data platforms and analytics infrastructure
• Develop data catalog strategies to enable enterprise-wide data discovery and governance
• Create robust data governance frameworks and policies to ensure data quality, security, and compliance
• Design AI governance programs to support responsible AI adoption and deployment

Business Value Creation

• Build compelling business cases for analytics and AI initiatives
• Conduct thorough ROI analyses and cost-benefit assessments for proposed solutions
• Develop implementationroadmaps that balance technical requirements with business priorities
• Monitor project outcomes and demonstrate measurable business value to stakeholders

Project Leadership & Implementation

• Lead cross-functional teams through complex analytics transformations
• Oversee end-to-end project delivery from requirements gathering through deployment
• Manage project timelines, budgets, and resource allocation
• Ensure solutions meet quality standards and client expectations

What do you need to succeed in this role?

Experience

• 8+ years of experience in analytics consulting or similar client-facing role
• Proven track record working with Fortune 1000 companies or those with similar complexity
• Experience presenting to and influencing executive leadership teams
• Demonstrated success in requirements gathering and solution design
• History of delivering complex analytics projects on time and within budget

Technical Skills

• Hands-on experience designing and implementing data Lakehouses
• Proficiency with data catalog tools (e.g., Collibra, Alation, Apache Atlas)
• Deep understanding of data governance principles and implementation
• Experience with AI governance frameworks and responsible AI practices
• Strong knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Familiarity with modern data stack technologies and best practices
• Experience in data modeling techniques including dimensional modeling and entity-relationship design
• Possesses advanced experience with relational and NoSQL database management systems
• Strong understanding of data integration patterns and ETL/ELT processes and tools
• Shows experience with metadata management, data lineage, and data catalog tools

• Strong financial modeling and cost-benefit analysis capabilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Advanced degree in Analytics, Data Science, Business, or related field
• Industry certifications in relevant technologies (Databricks, Snowflake, cloud platforms)
• Background in data privacy regulations (GDPR, CCPA, etc.)
• Experience with agile project management methodologies
• Previous consulting experience with top-tier firms
• Experience with data lake and data warehouse implementations
• Background in financial services, healthcare, or manufacturing industries
• Understanding of compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX, etc.)
• Experience with API design, development, and management

In compliance with this state’s pay transparency laws, the midpoint of the base salary range for this role is $123,150. This is not a guarantee of compensation or salary, as final offer amount may vary based on factors including but not limited to experience, commission, and geographic location.
