Requirements
  • A bachelor's degree and three years of experience in nonprofit, advancement, alumni engagement, prospect development, or prospect management, or an equivalent combination of experience, education, and training.
  • Experience proactively identifying prospect leads for development officers, particularly for a patient constituency and academic medical center.
  • Experience working independently and collaboratively to achieve goals.
  • Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational, written, and verbal communication skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and accommodate changing priorities.
  • Professionalism and commitment to confidentiality, sound judgment, and discretion.
  • Experience with project management software, data analysis tools, and customer relationship management systems.
  • Experience with healthcare in a reporting or patient access role.
Responsibilities
  • Collaborate closely with leaders to implement, manage, and refine physician prospect referral pipeline functions for the division.
  • Analyze patient lists generated from the electronic medical records system and other institutional systems to identify individuals with philanthropic potential in accordance with organizational policies, privacy regulations, and fundraising best practices.
  • Refine patient prospect identification and tracking efforts and implement a prospect management structure aligned with prospect tracking and assignment policies and procedures.
  • Complete data gathering and hygiene efforts to ensure complete and actionable patient prospect records.
  • Provide data analysis by preparing reports or dashboards using a customer relationship management system and data visualization tools.
  • Collaborate with fundraising staff and internal clients to understand informational and business needs and develop solutions for prospect management and physician partner strategies.
  • Lead or participate in special projects, process improvement initiatives, and strategic planning activities related to prospect identification, donor pipeline growth, fundraising intelligence, and healthcare philanthropy.
  • Partner with Prospect Development staff to provide regular prospect data and ad hoc reporting.
  • Provide guidance on best practices for patient prospecting research and answer questions regarding patient prospect tracking and patient list curation.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
