- Experience with Oracle Spatial
- Provide support for growing Oracle Spatial needs, including installation, tuning and trouble shooting
- Assist in the implementation of Oracle statewide standards

- Proficiency with Oracle performance tuning
- Proficiency with database backup and recovery using Oracle RMAN
- Ability to analyze and design physical databases and their definitions
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and testing
- Experience with installation, configuration and upgrades of vendor-supplied software, including contacting vendor on enhancements and problems
- Strong problem solving and conceptual thinking abilities
- Excellent written/verbal communication and documentation skills
- Able to work independently and deliver high quality results when given a set of requirements
- Experience with Oracle on Solaris
- Experience with spatial models and algorithms
- 1+ years’ experience with spatial models and algorithms
- 2-4 years Oracle Spatial programming experience
- 3-7 years Oracle SQL and PL/SQL programming experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Information Systems, Computer Science or Computer Systems Engineering; or a Bachelor’s degree in a related field appropriate for the assignment plus five years of experience
- Provide support for Oracle Spatial needs including installation, tuning and troubleshooting
- Assist in the implementation of Oracle statewide standards
- Installation, configuration and upgrades of vendor-supplied software, including contacting vendor on enhancements and problems
- Contribute to disaster recovery planning and testing
- Analyze and design physical databases and their definitions
- Document work and communicate findings; maintain documentation
- Work independently and deliver high quality results when given a set of requirements
- Experience managing databases up to 10+ TB
- Knowledge of Shell Scripting
- Knowledge of EMC and NetApp SAN hardware
- Knowledge/Experience with database appliances
- Data guard, compression, backup tools

The National Company Law Tribunal has approved the merger of Arrka Infosec Private Limited, a wholly-owned subsidiary, with parent company Persistent Systems. The IT services firm received the certified order from NCLT's Mumbai bench on Monday. The merger aims to simplify corporate structure, achieve synergy gains and eliminate duplicate procedures. NCLT noted the consolidation would enable effective management, unified control and reduce administrative costs. As Arrka Infosec is wholly owned by Persistent Systems, no new shares will be issued. The subsidiary's issued and paid-up capital will be cancelled on the scheme's effective date, and Arrka Infosec will be dissolved immediately thereafter. Pune-based Arrka Infosec, incorporated in 2012, provides information technology and IT-enabled services.
