Requirements
  • A high school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • A valid driver's license and a minimum three-year safe driving record are required.
  • Candidates must be flexible because the facility operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week, and employees may be assigned different shifts or sites.
  • Candidates must be proficient with computers, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
  • Candidates must have interpersonal, communication, multitasking, listening, documentation, and organizational skills.
  • Candidates must be able to read and write legibly.
  • Candidates must be able to document in electronic medical records.
  • Candidates must be able to follow supervisor directions.
  • Candidates must know the basic principles and methods of drug and alcohol treatment programs.
  • Candidates must know basic behavior management and program planning principles.
  • Candidates must be able to make judgments regarding clients' health and welfare and respond appropriately in emergencies.
Responsibilities
  • Maintain admission guidelines and policies, and recommend changes to admission criteria, policies, and procedures to the Lead Admissions Coordinator.
  • Obtain client information by requesting completed applications and medical information, verifying and clarifying information, interviewing clients and family members, and explaining admission criteria.
  • Phone-screen clients by comparing their conditions with admission criteria, evaluating and accepting or rejecting clients with appropriate clinical assistance, and referring clients and families to other programs and institutions as directed.
  • Admit clients by completing admission and financial responsibility forms and coordinating physical, social, emotional, and support-service requirements, including transportation as needed.
  • Resolve patient and family dissatisfaction when appropriate and recommend changes in service policies and procedures to the supervisor.
  • Prepare admissions reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.
  • Update data in Google Docs and Excel spreadsheets as directed by the supervisor.
  • Scan, email, fax, and upload documents as directed.
  • Answer routine incoming facility phone calls and make treatment follow-up calls and mail follow-up correspondence.
  • Keep clients safe by following safety policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Protect the organization's reputation by keeping information confidential.
  • Keep equipment operating by following operating instructions and calling for repairs.
  • Update job knowledge through educational opportunities, professional publications, and personal networks.
  • Assist with ordering facility supplies and coordinating facility maintenance needs.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Desired Qualifications
  • CPR and First Aid certification is preferred; training will be provided.
