As a Biological Science Assistant (Coldwater Project Assistant) in Salem, Oregon, you will:
Deploy and retrieve water temperature recording thermistors to help identify the Oregon’s cold water streams
Assist instream flow studies and fish sampling projects
Describe and document stream morphology and in-stream characteristics
Conduct surveys on private land

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Minimum qualifications are not established for this position; however, we are seeking applicants with the following experience or skills. Preference for interviews may be given to candidates with these skills and background:
Stream sampling experience
Experience collecting data
Experience conducting field work under a variety of weather conditions
Experience collecting biological samples from fish
Anyone who has or is in pursuit of a Fisheries, Wildlife Science, Hydrology or related degree in biological/ecological sciences.

The salary listed is the non-PERS qualifying salary range. If the successful candidate is PERS qualifying, the salary range will reflect an additional 6.95%
