Requirements
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience, Business, Finance, Mathematics, or related discipline.
  • MBA preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of related work experience
  • Insurance industry experience to include state management, business development, or product management
  • Superior leadership, problem solving, and analytical skills with proven ability to effectively communicate, develop relationships and make data driven decisions.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Ability to meet travel requirements of the position.
Responsibilities
  • Responsible for overall revenue growth of all products within assigned region.
  • Designs and coordinates the execution of Sentry's state-level personal lines strategic plans to increase premium and market share for all products, while operating within acceptable profit ranges.
  • Develops new and alternative distribution opportunities that may utilize multiple channels.
  • Leverages expert knowledge of assigned states' competitive, legal, and regulatory landscape to maximize opportunity for expanding distribution.
  • Collaborates on agent and customer experience results for Sentry's personal lines products.
  • Leverage expert knowledge in the industry within assigned states, speaking to competitors market share, unique capabilities, and business profile.
  • Identify opportunities to expand product risk appetite to appeal to a wider range of customers and generate profitable growth in multiple distribution channels across products.
  • Collaborate with product manager(s) on any related product implementation efforts within assigned states.
  • Prepared distribution channel-specific marketing objectives, strategies, and tactics, as well as revenue projections.
  • Provides leadership and guidance to cross functional teams in an effort to improve new business growth, customer retention and premium goals.
  • Work with others across the business (EX: Legal, IT, Operations, and Marketing) to facilitate development of unique processes and workflows for alternative distribution sources when applicable.
  • Collaborates with others across the business on regulatory compliance.
  • Provide leadership in market research and evaluation, collaborating extensively with product and marketing analysts in order to fully leverage state and product level market data.
