As an Associate Contracts Manager, you will partner with business teammates to negotiate, prepare, examine, analyze, manage, and administer a variety of commercial contracts, with particular emphasis on procurement and supply chain, as well as drive and improve Axon’s contracting processes to set Axon up for long-term success. You will communicate high-level information to a wide variety of stakeholders within Axon and facilitate contract meetings.
What You’ll Do
Location: Scottsdale, AZ or Remote US
Reports to: Associate Corporate Counsel
- Responsible for contract management support throughout the contract life cycle.
- Coordinate contract review and develop strong working relationships across multiple organizations including Legal, Supply Chain, Software, Engineering, Product, and IT.
- Provide administrative and contractual support (including drafting, reviewing, and negotiating) for complex agreements, including, for example, SaaS, supply, service, real estate and vendor contracts.
- Administer and manage contract documents and forms.
- Support updates to our Legal team’s processes and procedures including our team’s contract playbooks and contract lifecycle management system.
- Maintain templates and work with other teams in Axon to update and administer improvements to such templates.
- Review, analyze, and report on key contract terms.
- Identify and mitigate risk connected with non-standard terms and conditions and proposed changes in contractual documents.
- Manage record-keeping for contract-related correspondence and documentation.
- Other duties as assigned.
What You Bring
- Minimum of 3 years of experience managing all stages of a contract’s lifecycle including preparation, review, and administration.
- Maniacal stickler for attention to detail.
- Superior communication skills and ability to articulate and efficiently communicate risk and liability.
- Experience supporting large and dynamic organizations.
- A passion for process and organization.
- Experience using contract lifecycle management systems.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-pace environment and pivot when need be.
- Experience reviewing contract terms to ensure compliance with standard terms and conditions.
- Experience with procurement and supply chain specific agreements, including, without limitation, MSA’s, SOWs, SaaS, and Supplier Agreements.
- Experience working with legal counsel to drive contracts to execution, and manage the contract after it has been executed.
- Bachelor’s degree (preferably in a related field).
- Must be able to work legally in the U.S.

Axon is a total compensation company, meaning compensation is made up of base pay, bonus, and stock awards. The starting base pay for this role is between USD 70,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 100,000 in the highest geographic market. The on target earnings range for this role is between USD 80,000 in the lowest geographic market and USD 120,000 in the highest geographic market. The actual base pay is dependent upon many factors, such as: level, function, training, transferable skills, work experience, business needs, geographic market, and often a combination of all these factors.
