Requirements
  • Emergency Nursing experience strongly preferred
  • Massachusetts Registered Nurse license (MA RN)
  • Basic Life Support certification required (BLS)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support certification required (ACLS)
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support certification can be obtained after hire (PALS can be obtained after hire)
  • Team Emergency Department environment familiarity
  • Telemetry experience preferred
  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred (BSN preferred)
  • Triage and pediatric care experience preferred
  • Triage area staffing knowledge and ability to support rapid interventions (inferred from department setup)
  • Influenza vaccination is required for all staff (as a condition of employment)
Responsibilities
  • Provide emergency nursing care to patients in the Beverly Hospital Emergency Department.
  • Collaborate with emergency medicine physicians, mid-level clinicians, and other staff to deliver patient care 24/7.
  • Support and participate in triage and initial patient assessment processes as part of the ED team.
  • Assist in managing patients across a range of emergency presentations including cardiac, pediatric, obstetric-gynecologic, orthopedic, and respiratory emergencies.
  • Contribute to ensuring patient safety and adherence to the department’s protocols in a Level III Trauma Center setting.
Desired Qualifications
  • TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) preferred (can be obtained after hire)
  • PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) can be obtained after hire
  • Telemeter(y) experience preferred
  • BSN preferred
  • Emergency Nursing experience strongly preferred
