Requirements
  • 4+ years of work experience in technical communication
  • ServiceNow experience in the areas of ITSM is highly desirable
  • Samples of your prior technical writing work or other writing that demonstrates your ability to communicate complex ideas and technical information clearly
  • Ability and eagerness to demonstrate leadership by mentoring other writers, managing multiple projects, adapting quickly to changing priorities, and helping diverse cross-functional teams collaborate effectively to deliver exceptional results
  • Previous writing experience, examples of written work, or clear passion for a future in content
  • Ability to think strategically as well as the ability to handle the detail
  • Content Management System knowledge
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required
  • Must be available to travel upto 10% of the year
Responsibilities
  • Work with UX research and content strategy to produce engaging and digestable content from the solution provided by the Technical Solutions Architect
  • Ensure success measures are in place for understanding the contents impact and success for customers
  • Perform and maintain content audits of all existing content across all sites/ teams aligned to each maturity adoption blueprint, identifing the gaps and writing the required content (or influence another team to help co-create it)
  • Participate in various types of content auditing activities having different levels of complexity. This includes addressing various requests/issues reported by various stakeholders, including customers
  • Create curated “how to” content packs - publish on appropriate sites (Community, Impact, etc.) as well as in Admin Center
  • Interpreting licensing/contract terms and conditions; use the knowledge gained from the past experience and audit the content items to ensure a world class quality content library
  • Collaborate with internal and external parties to validate content before publication
  • Contribute to industry events, sharing best practices and knowledge
  • Work closely with engineering and product management to plan, create, and maintain user-focused technical documentation for multiple product features or applications, in alignment with an established content strategy
  • Provide input to help shape future content strategy for the ITSM business unit
  • Contribute to the continued evolution of ServiceNow's content development processes
  • Develop a strong understanding of the ServiceNow product ecosystem and expert knowledge of ITSM
